FAQs

Is there an early bird discount?

No. Hash Cash is easily confused so in order to keep things simple there is one flat fee of 5,999 pesos only.

How do I get to Puerto Galera?

From Manila, most single hashers take a public bus or private car to Batangas Pier, then catch a ferry to Balatero Port. From Balatero, it’s a quick trike ride to the On-Home in Sabang. A more convenient but more expensive option is to take a private car or van to Berberabe Port and catching a private speedboat direct to Sabang, however pooling with other hashers can make this a good choice. Flying is not an option as there are no airports close to Puerto Galera. See our Getting Here Guide for detailed instructions.

Will there be organized transport?

We won't be arranging special bus trips for the event, however we have prepared a comprehensive Getting Here guide to help you on your way!

Where should I stay?

The main festivities will be centered around Sabang. Check hotel booking sites and search for "Sabang Puerto Galera". Small Lalaguna is ok too just a bit further to walk (about 0.5km). Big Lalaguna is a bit further again (about 1km). Check the location carefully before booking (referring to a map) to ensure the property isn't too far from the On Home near Sabang ferry terminal.

Tip: Contact our sponsors (links at the bottom of the page) directly and mention the Nash Hash to get special rates.

Where is the "Hash Home"?

PGH3 official home is at Capt'n Gregg’s Dive Resort, Sabang Beach, Puerto Galera Find us on Google Maps

What is the terrain like?

Puerto Galera offers everything from coastal beach runs to technical jungle climbs and river crossings. Prepare for some elevation on the longer trails — the views are worth it!

Are there different trail lengths?

Of course! There’ll be trails to suit all tastes and fitness levels:
• Ballbreaker: For the masochists (20km+)
• Runners: Intermediates (10-12 km)
• Walkers: The standard Hash trail (6–8km)
• Wimps: A scenic stroll (3–4km)
• Socialites: Sit in the shade and contemplate your navel! (0km)
