Established in 1990, Puerto Galera Hash House Harriers is the local chapter of the beer-fueled global network of local running/walking drinking clubs.
Every Saturday, we find a trail somewhere covering jungle, hillsides, rice padis, broken concrete, sewage outlets, sand, mud, garbage dumps and generally anywhere we can get away with setting a trail.
Anyone who wants to go for a social run or walk can come along. There are no joining or annual fees, just pay as you attend.
Visitors are welcome but please note that first-time runners MUST BE INTRODUCED AND ACCOMPANIED AT ALL TIMES by an experienced hasher. If you are looking for guided walks consider contacting a commercial tour company (your resort concierge can help out).
Objectives:
- To promote physical fitness among our members
- To get rid of Saturday morning hangovers
- To acquire a good thirst and to satisfy it in beer
- To persuade the older members that they are not as old as they feel
